2. Roll Call – Kirk Awalt absent, all else present
3. Minutes Approval – Approved with the following changes:
- Remove “…and the Board of Supervisors has approved the project.” from San
Miguel Ranch project item.
- Add “YMCA sponsored jump rope party” to San Miguel Resource Connection.
4. Treasurer’s Report – $100 graffit fund & $652.01. Check cut of $43 for new gavel.
5. Public Reports
a. CHP and or Sheriff – No immediate report. Questions Re: parked RV’s
b. CSD Report – not present
c. Supervisors Office – No report
d. Proposed San Miguel Ranch GPA – No report, EIR still in process.
e. Letter from Ryan Langstaff – Ryan resigned from SMAC.
6. Public Comments (3 minutes per person) – No public comments
7. Old Business:
a. Continuance of the proposed SMART GROWTH AMENDMENT “THE LAND USE AND CIRCULATION ELEMENTS OF THE SLO COUNTY GENERAL PLAN.” – Motion made, Steve 2nd. 5 = Yes, 2 = No
b. Community Center Sound Abatement Report Update
- Scott will ask Lions if can experiment with sound abatement options
c. Bylaws Committee Report – Moved to September meeting
8. County Planning and Referrals:
a. Williamson Act Rules of Procedure-Power Point presentation by Terry Wahler
SMAC will form a subcommittee to study the amendment further
b. Proposed subdivision of 135 acres into 3 parcels off Estrella Rd. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: SUB2006-00230 CO 07-0069, PORTER.
Motion made by Steve to approve, Ryan 2nd, approved unanimous.
d. N Street Public Storage (revised sketch)
Motion to approve w/ color selections, more trees & pavers. Denis 2nd. Approved unanimous.
9. Community Service Organizations (3-5 minutes per organization)
a. Resource Connection – Applying for 2 grants to attract new businesses downtown.
b. Cleanup Committee – No report
