On June 26, 2008 over 100 voting San Miguel area residents attended to hear candidates speak and answer questions before casting their ballots. Voting was administered by the League of Women Voters.
Candidates ran for the SMAC of which the top 4 will hold 2-year terms and the following 2 will hold 1-years terms as Alternates. Election results were announced at 8:20 p.m.
